What the photo enhancer fixes

A photo saved from a chat app, a thumbnail or an old phone picture is often too small. Zoom in and it falls apart into soft edges and smudges.

  • Low resolution

Every photo comes back 4x wider and 4x taller.

  • Soft edges

Outlines of faces, letters and buildings come back crisp.

  • Flat texture

Hair, skin, grass and fabric look filled in, not stretched.

What it does not fix

The enhancer works with what is in the photo. If a photo is out of focus or shaken, it comes back bigger and still blurry. Heavy JPEG blocks can get bigger too. It keeps the colors, the light and the framing.

For a torn or faded old photo, use the photo restorer. For a logo or text on top, use the watermark remover.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

Yes. The photo enhancer needs a ViewPress account and a plan. Plans start at $49 a month.

Will my photo come back in 8K?

If it is at least 1920 × 1080, yes: it comes back at 7680 × 4320. Every photo comes back 4x wider and 4x taller, so a smaller photo comes back sharper and bigger, but under 8K.

Can it unblur a photo?

Only a little. It sharpens soft edges in a small photo. A photo that is out of focus or shaken stays blurry.

What changes in my photo?

Only the size and the sharpness. The colors, the faces and the framing stay as they are.

What image formats are supported?

Common image formats up to 20MB work. Results are returned as PNG.

How many credits does it use?

3 credits per photo. If it fails, the credits come back.

Is this the same as the image upscaler?

Yes. The photo enhancer and the image upscaler run the same 4x model, so either page gives the same result.

Only need a bigger image? Try the image upscaler.
