What it does
The green screen remover is a chroma key. It finds every pixel close to your screen color, frame by frame, and makes it see-through. Edges get a soft blend, so hair and shoulders do not look cut out with scissors.
An example: you film yourself talking in front of a green sheet. Run it through, and you get a WebM of just you. Drop it on top of a screen recording, a product shot or a game clip, and you are standing in front of it.
No green screen in your footage? Use Remove Video Background instead. It uses AI to cut out the subject from any background.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
Yes. The green screen remover needs a ViewPress account and a plan. Plans start at $49 a month.
What format is the result?
A WebM video (VP9) with a real alpha channel, so the background stays transparent in any editor or browser that plays WebM with transparency.
Which background colors can it remove?
Green by default. Pick any other color with the color picker, such as a blue screen. An evenly lit backdrop gives the cleanest result.
How long can the video be?
Clips up to 2 minutes and 100MB work. Longer clips take a little more time to process.
Why is there a green edge around my subject?
Usually the backdrop was not evenly lit, or the green bounced onto the subject. Light the screen evenly and keep some distance between you and it.
Is this the same as chroma key in my editor?
Yes, it is the same method. The difference is that you get a finished transparent file you can use anywhere, without setting up a key in each project.
