Whiteboard and list explainers
An explainer sells help, not a product. Whiteboards and numbered lists turn up again and again in creator videos because the structure never changes: you only change the topic, so you can make one every day.
Two versions of one format
The whiteboard: a person at a board says three steps while the words appear on the board: “1 NICHE, 2 DAILY, 3 AGENT”. The list: a title such as “3 AI videos you can post today”, then three to five fast segments, each with a number, a few words and a clip. Both promise a number in the hook, and the number keeps people watching to the last item.
Write the steps
Three items is the default, five only if each is short. Each item is a few words on screen and one spoken sentence. Keep the strongest item for last. Write it to teach a common problem, so it reads as help: “How faceless pages actually make money”, “Why your ads get no clicks”.
A whiteboard explainer in ViewPress
Type: “A 15-second whiteboard explainer. A woman, 29, in a home office at a whiteboard, marker in hand, one take. She says: ‘Here’s how faceless pages make money. One: pick a niche people binge. Two: post every day. Three: let an agent make the videos.’ Write ‘1 NICHE’, ‘2 DAILY’ and ‘3 AGENT’ on the board as she says each one.” The agent makes the clip with a clean board and adds the words as text, timed to her voice, so they are sharp and spelled right.
A list video in ViewPress
Type: “A 15-second list video: ‘3 AI videos you can post today’. One: a construction timelapse. Two: a cat staring at a laptop. Three: a Bigfoot trail-cam clip. A big number and title on each, a quick voiceover, captions.” Use your own clips for the items, or let the agent make each one.
Readable on a phone
Text must be large, placed in the upper part of the frame, never on a black box, and never two text layers at the same moment. Use captions of 2 to 4 words with the spoken word highlighted. In a list, keep each item under 3 seconds and cut on the beat of the music.
Pitfalls
Text generated inside the picture: models misspell it, so add words as text in the editor. Income claims you cannot show: ad platforms reject them and viewers distrust them. Someone else’s clip in your list: show its real view count, and never claim you made it.
Frequently asked
Do I need a person?
No. The list version works with clips and a voiceover. The whiteboard version needs a presenter, who can be an AI person.
How do I make it a series?
Keep the title format and change the topic: “3 niches…”, “3 hooks…”, “3 mistakes…”. A repeated format tells viewers what they get when they follow.
