What it fixes

A clip saved from a chat app, a screen recording or an old phone video often looks soft and blocky. The video enhancer runs each frame through a video quality model and fixes four things.

  • Compression blocks

The square patches and smeared edges you get from a clip that was saved too many times.

  • Noise

The grain and speckle in dark or low-light shots.

  • Soft detail

Fine detail in faces, hair, fabric and text comes back, with a light sharpen on top.

  • Choppy motion

New frames are filled in at 90 fps, then blended back to 30 fps. Movement looks smooth, with natural motion blur.

It cleans up what is in the clip. It does not add detail that was never filmed, so a very blurry clip comes back cleaner, not sharp.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

Yes. The video enhancer needs a ViewPress account and a plan. Plans start at $49 a month.

What does the video quality enhancer do?

It removes compression blocks and noise, brings back fine detail, and sharpens a little. It also fills in frames at 90 fps and blends them back to 30 fps, so motion looks smooth.

Does it make my video 4K?

No. You get the same width and height you uploaded. The enhancer makes the video cleaner, not bigger.

How long can my video be?

Up to 60 seconds and 100MB. For a longer video, trim it into parts first and enhance each one.

What file do I get back?

An MP4 at 30 frames per second. You can upload MP4, MOV, WebM and other common video files.

How many credits does it use?

The cost goes by the length of the video, measured on our side after upload. If a run fails, the credits come back.
